EAEU Council Begins Addressing Issues Related to Armenian Vehicles
The Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) Council has begun addressing issues related to Armenian vehicles, as reported by the EAEU press service.
“In particular, it has been decided to expand the exchange of information between the customs authorities of the Union countries. Armenia and Kyrgyzstan have been tasked with providing information on the customs duties and the amounts paid for taxes and customs duties for such vehicles,” the statement reads.
It is noted that this measure will help limit the importation of personal-use vehicles from Armenia and Kyrgyzstan to the Russian territory, which were released in those countries at lower customs duties compared to other EAEU member states. The availability of such information will assist citizens in avoiding purchasing vehicles from unscrupulous entrepreneurs.
