«Hraparak». Pashinyan Disrupts Seyran Saroyan's Birthday Celebration
On September 3, in the ancestral house of the Martuni Arzvani village, where there is also a chapel in the yard, former MP of the Republican Party and General Seyran Saroyan attempted to celebrate his 52nd birthday. Nikol Pashinyan, who is currently on vacation, learned about this from unknown sources and headed to the Arzvani church. Allegedly, upon noticing vehicles and hearing sounds of celebration along the way, he alerted the regional police chief, who then arrived with a detachment to carry out the Prime Minister's instructions.
The birthday event was halted, and police began checking whether the participants were adhering to the regulations established by the health authorities regarding distance, numbers, and so on. The entire population of Arzvani gathered at the site. One individual noted that the number of guests did not exceed 50. The church's caretaker was also present. We were informed that Pashinyan personally called the Mother See and urged the Catholicos to bring order to the church's staff.
Notable attendees included singer Alik and the Avetisyan brothers, as well as a relative of the general, Saron. After the police visit, the general's health and mood deteriorated, and he returned home. His assistant Gevorg Stepanyan told us that he, as a friend of the Saroyan family, also participated in the celebration, which was a surprise for Saroyan, organized by his aunts.
Saroyan was present at the celebration for several hours, as his health issues had flared up again. "Regarding the reports, it seems that 4 or 5 reports were drawn up, because there really weren't many guests," the newspaper writes.
