What is planned for educational institutions. Deputy Minister's clarification

The Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Armenia, Zhanna Andreasian, stated on her Facebook page:

“In order to ensure the necessary conditions in educational institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic, the project approved at the government meeting includes the following measures:

  • Providing 20% of students in general education schools, including special and specialized schools, out-of-school institutions, and primary and secondary vocational educational institutions with masks daily, as there is a rule in place for attending institutions with masks. Masks will be available for replacement during sessions as needed.
  • Providing 100% of the staff in general education schools, out-of-school institutions, and primary and secondary vocational educational institutions with masks, two per day.
  • Providing 100% of students and staff in special and specialized schools with masks, three per day.

The project also includes the supply of hand sanitizers for both students and staff, as well as disinfectants for building sanitization. Additionally, institutions will utilize savings formed during the previous semester for this purpose, if available.

Considering the potential changes in the situation, purchases will be made for a maximum of one month, with the appropriateness of future purchases being reviewed as needed.”
