Joghourt: No Consolidation Will Happen, BHK Decides to Move Forward Alone

According to the 'Joghourt' newspaper, on August 26, the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, Gagik Tsarukyan, announced plans to organize a large rally and start meetings with representatives of the party's territorial structures ahead of the upcoming parliamentary session. During an open meeting with the activists of the Kotayk region, Tsarukyan reminded that he had instructed his staff to communicate with the people and listen to their concerns. Now, he concluded that there are many problems, but he is ready to answer all the questions.

However, despite the meetings over the months between representatives of Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia Party, former Director of the NSS Arthur Vanetsyan's Homeland Party, and the ARF, according to the 'Joghourt' newspaper, BHK wants to move forward alone. The format of the trio doesn't seem so promising. According to the information from 'Joghourt', the promised rally by BHK leader Gagik Tsarukyan is planned for October; however, party members have been firmly against the participation of the ARF and Homeland parties in their rally. Thus, it appears that while these forces have collaborated for months, they will not take a united front for one of the most significant political events: the rally. Once again, we are witnessing the reality that consolidation in the opposition field is not materializing.
