Between August 31 and September 1, a report was received indicating that 10 individuals were admitted to the Ararat Medical Center with suspected alcohol poisoning, diagnosed as "alcoholic intoxication," according to the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia.

Unfortunately, there have been fatalities. Three individuals died at the Ararat hospital itself. Four others were transferred to the Armenia Republican Medical Center, where they also succumbed, and one patient remains in critical condition in the intensive care unit of Erebuni Medical Center.

The health status of two victims transferred to the Armenia Republican Medical Center from the Ararat facility is assessed as serious. They are currently in the intensive care unit receiving necessary medical treatment.

Additionally, one resident of the Ararat region presented with the same symptoms at the Armenia Republican Medical Center but declined treatment in writing and was discharged. Four other citizens from Yerevan, with similar symptoms, also sought care at the Armenia Republican Medical Center, and they have also passed away.

As of now, there are 11 reported deaths attributed to suspected alcohol intoxication. One more patient suspected of poisoning is currently in the intensive care unit of Heratsi Clinical Hospital No. 1.

It should be noted that these figures are preliminary, and epidemiological investigations are underway. Further information will be provided regarding the results and the health status of the affected individuals.
