According to "Fact," one of the most pressing issues in Armenia over the past two years has been related to the actions of the ruling authorities within the judicial system, which have been met with considerable criticism in professional circles. Various international organizations and foreign lawyers with significant reputations have repeatedly expressed concerns regarding these processes.

In particular, our sources indicate that European institutions are particularly worried about the recent steps taken by the authorities concerning the judicial system in Armenia. Specifically, the President of the Venice Commission, Gianni Buquici, recently expressed his concerns regarding the latest actions directed towards the Constitutional Court judges.

Our source has relayed that Buquici had a telephone conversation with the political leadership of Armenia regarding his concerns, and according to the same source, the parties agreed not to issue an official statement about the conversation. Furthermore, although the fact of the telephone conversation has become known in some circles, the details of the conversation are being kept as confidential as possible.
