Investigative Committee Urges Citizens Who Purchased Alcohol from Armavir Resident Ashot Hovhannisyan Not to Consume It
The Investigative Committee of Armenia continues the preliminary investigation into the poisoning cases of residents in Armavir city.
It has been revealed that several residents of Armavir city acquired alcoholic beverages of unknown origin that do not meet safety standards for consumer health and safety, resulting in poisoning incidents.
As part of the ongoing measures, Ashot Lendrush Hovhannisyan, born in 1970, has been arrested on suspicion of selling products that do not comply with safety requirements. Operational tasks are being carried out to locate an additional 30 liters of alcoholic beverages purchased by citizens and to identify all buyers.
All citizens who purchased alcoholic beverages from the mentioned individual are urged not to consume them and to contact the Armavir regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
According to the Ministry of Health, 11 citizens have died from alcohol poisoning.
