Shooting in Yerevan: One Injured, Blood-Like Traces Found at the Scene

On August 31, gunshots were heard in Yerevan. Around 21:40, the operations management center of the Yerevan city police received a report that gunshots had been fired near a corridor leading from Alek Manukyan Street to Aygestan 3rd Street.

According to witnesses at the scene, one person with gunshot wounds has been transported to the number 1 university hospital. Currently, numerous investigators from the Central and Norq-Marash administrative districts of the Investigative Committee of Armenia are conducting an examination at the scene.

Blood-like traces and a homemade explosive device have been discovered at the location. The police and the investigative department are working to determine the identity of the injured party.

Note: A suspect or accused person in a presumed crime is considered innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedures established by the Criminal Procedure Code of the Republic of Armenia, based on a legally binding court ruling.
