Promises of Buses for 2 Years, Yet Gazelles are Delivered: Khajakyans
Today, Davit Khajakyans, the head of the Yerevan City Council's 'Luyis' faction, held a press conference. Discussing public transport, he presented a video in which Mayor Marutyan promised to replace the "death gazelles".
Khajakyans asserted that the announced competition for 100 small buses, taking place today, does not involve small buses at all, but rather gazelles, as the description provided by the municipality aligns with that of a gazelle, not a bus.
"The winner of the competition will be the gazelle. But only if there is no negative feedback. I want to point out that gazelles have platforms for people with mobility issues. When Marutyan said we would replace the gazelles, he meant the old ones, not that we would be replacing them with new ones. We were promised buses for 2 years, but instead, we are getting gazelles," he stated.
