Former Head of Nubarashen Penitentiary Detained

The former head of the Nubarashen penitentiary, Samvel Mkrtchyan, has been detained on suspicion of violations under Articles 308 and 38-314 of the Armenian Criminal Code. This information was reported by Armlur.am.

However, Vahan Hovhannisyan, the lawyer representing Samvel Mkrtchyan, claims that there are no grounds or objectives for the detention.

It has become known that Mkrtchyan was arrested in connection with a case involving Vahagn Abgaryan, known as Vahagi from Alaverdi.
