Why Should the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly, and Certain Officials Not Wear Masks While Other Citizens Must?
Currently, our emergency manager has decided that certain high-ranking officials may go without masks, while, for instance, a six-year-old first grader must wear one for several hours during class. This was noted by the MP from the Prosperous Armenia Party, Naria Zohrabyan.
“If there was someone I could ask with meaning, I would definitely inquire: Why must the Prime Minister, the Speaker of the National Assembly, the President of Armenia, and some other officials not wear masks, while the remaining two million 994 thousand citizens must? What is the difference between their immune systems and genetic codes and those of ordinary citizens?”
I understand that you do whatever you want. And let me tell you, it’s not only me who has understood this. Not only those who didn’t vote for you but also those who did, our proud compatriots, have understood it — they were told that each of them is a Prime Minister. Now these people want to know: why must the 2 million 994 thousand Prime Ministers and Presidents wear masks, while only a few privileged individuals are liberated from the pressure of masks on their respiratory tracts?
As an MP of Armenia, I just want to be informed: which law does Ararat Mirzoyan want to wear a mask in the meeting hall, or to not wear one? Meanwhile, we — the ordinary mortal MPs — in the same hall, under the same air conditions, are obliged to wear masks. Who should I find to ask about this?
Oh, and regarding your strict adherence to the guidelines of the World Health Organization, those guidelines state that children under 12 do not have to wear masks. Why aren’t you following that guideline? How do you imagine that a small child won’t drop that mask several times to the ground, pick it up, and put it on their face or that of the child beside them? Do you at least know that children are not static objects in their seats simply because they are children? And no teacher will be able to monitor that.
If you bring a special forces team to every school, the children will play, interact, and take off and put on their masks, and those masks will become toxic biological weapons after half an hour. I am not appealing to the government and the minister. It’s pointless. They will do what they have decided to do.
I am appealing to parents and teachers. Dear teachers and parents, together find an adequate solution and simply implement it, and that’s it. There is no other option.”
