What Are the Fines for Violating Hunting and Fishing Regulations?

The Environmental and Mining Inspection Body reminds that there are fines imposed for violating the rules related to the protection of animal, including fish stocks, hunting and fishing, as well as other regulations regarding the utilization of wildlife.

According to Article 88 of the Administrative Violations Code of the Republic of Armenia, violations of the rules concerning the protection of animal, including fish stocks, hunting and fishing, as well as other regulations for utilizing wildlife, lead to fines for citizens ranging from seventy times to one hundred forty times the established minimum wage (70,000-140,000 AMD). For officials, the fines range from one hundred times to two hundred times the minimum wage (100,000-200,000 AMD), along with the confiscation of personal firearms and hunting equipment belonging to the violator, as well as other items and animals that are considered instruments of the violations.

Gross violations of hunting regulations (hunting without permission, in prohibited areas, or at prohibited times, or using prohibited tools or methods), as well as repeated violations of other hunting regulations, result in fines for citizens ranging from one hundred fifty times to two hundred fifty times the established minimum wage (150,000-250,000 AMD). For officials, the fines can range from one hundred seventy times to two hundred fifty times the minimum wage (170,000-250,000 AMD), along with the confiscation of personal firearms and hunting equipment, with the violator possibly losing their hunting rights for up to 3 years.
