Weightlifting European Championship Postponed by One Year

The Weightlifting European Championship will be postponed by one year. This is reported by Russian media outlets. The Russian Weightlifting Federation has appealed to the EWF (European Weightlifting Federation) suggesting that the competition be delayed due to the situation created by the coronavirus pandemic. The federation has taken this step to ensure that athletes have equal opportunities.
The Weightlifting European Championship was scheduled to take place in Moscow from October 31 to November 8.
