How the Educational Process Will Be Organized at the Armenian State University of Economics
The educational process for the first semester of the 2020-2021 academic year at the Armenian State University of Economics will be organized in three shifts, with class duration set at 70 minutes, and the process will be conducted in a hybrid format.
According to a message on the university's Facebook page, "In-person classes for first-year bachelor students will begin on September 1 in person, with a transition to hybrid mode starting September 15. In-person classes for second, third, and fourth-year bachelor students, as well as first and second-year master's students, will begin on September 15 in hybrid mode. Distance learning for third-year master's students will start on September 22 in hybrid mode. Distance learning for first, second, third, fourth, and fifth-year bachelor students and first and second-year distance master's students will commence on November 2 in hybrid mode.
The first shift classes will start at 9:30 AM, the second shift at 2:00 PM, and the third shift at 6:20 PM. To ensure the balanced distribution of students and avoid overcrowding, the teaching shifts will be organized as follows: 1) in-person bachelor students of first, second, third, and fourth years will be the first shift, with exceptional cases allowed in the second shift once a week; 2) in-person master's students of the 1.5-year program in first and second years will be the second shift; 3) in-person master's students of the two-year program in first and second years will be the third shift.
Lectures for all in-person bachelor and master's programs will be conducted online. Online lectures will be organized using a unified tool (Zoom, Google Meet), and links to the lectures will be attached to the approved schedule. Students are required to remain connected to the video call for the duration of the online lectures and must log in with their names and surnames.
The following anti-epidemic rules are established at ASUE: Students and staff with first shift classes must arrive at the university by 8:30 AM, while those in the second shift must arrive by 1:20 PM to start the classes at the scheduled times. It is necessary to maintain social distancing while waiting at the university entrances, standing near the markings made in front of the entrances.
Upon entering the university, students will undergo individual temperature checks. The university maintains a temperature monitoring log for students and staff. Only the data of those with temperatures of 37°C and above will be recorded in the log, and their entry to the university will be prohibited.
Wearing a mask at all times while on university premises is mandatory. Students and staff should enter the university through the following entrances: Management Faculty - entrance from Nalbandyan Street (central building); Faculty of Economic Regulation and International Economic Relations - entrance from A. Manukyan Street (gates); Faculty of Accounting and Auditing - entrance from A. Manukyan Street (gates); Faculty of Informatics and Statistics - entrance from A. Manukyan Street (gates); Faculty of Finance - entrance from A. Manukyan Street; Faculty of Marketing and Business Organization - entrance from Heratsi Street.
