Turkey's Defense Ministry Declares That Turkey Is a Party in the Armenia-Azerbaijan Conflict
Turkey's Defense Minister Hulusi Akar responded to the host's questions in a live broadcast on the Turkish state news agency 'Anadolu,' as reported by Ermenihaber.am. Akar, expressing his thoughts on Turkey's role in the overall geopolitical situation, once again addressed Armenia in the context of the clashes that occurred with Azerbaijan in July.
The Turkish Defense Minister reiterated the well-known theses about Azerbaijan being a 'brotherly state' and the concept of 'one nation, two states.' He also emphasized that Turkey is indeed a party to this conflict and condemned Armenia's 'aggressive' behavior.
Akar portrayed Armenia as a country that meddles in 'affairs beyond its status' thanks to its supporting forces, noting that Armenia's conduct has no justification and that everyone must understand this. The Turkish official stressed that through joint military exercises, they are demonstrating their solidarity with Azerbaijan.
