The Wiretapping Case of Arthur Vanetsyan and Nikol Pashinyan Unveiled
Arsen Babayan, a member of the "Homeland" party's council and a human rights defender, made a post on his Facebook page regarding the comments of MP Vahe Galumyan on the wiretapping of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the former head of the NSS, now the leader of the "Homeland" party, Arthur Vanetsyan.
He specifically noted that the wiretapping case is completely unveiled, revealing it himself, Arthur Vanetsyan, and urged the representatives of the government not to abuse their integrity and decision to remain silent.
His post reads as follows:
"In an interview, Nikol's protégé (or godson), MP Vahe Galumyan, speaking about Arthur Vanetsyan, the president of the 'Homeland' party, mentioned, among numerous absurdities, that 'one of the most prominent facts during Vanetsyan's tenure is the publication of the conversation between the Prime Minister and him, which I am not sure was wiretapped; it could very well be a recording made by Vanetsyan, which was later published.' I believe the time has come to open some brackets about the well-known wiretapping.
I urge Vahe Galumyan, who is engaged in an unknown and useless endeavor, to go and ask his godfather (or protégé), 'Nikol Vova jan, why aren't you speaking out about the details of the famous wiretapping story, which, according to the statement of the investigative committee, has been fully revealed?' How can you not talk about it? Isn't it shameful that you don't speak about it? Isn't it possible that you are not discussing it so you can shamelessly exploit the topic...'
Furthermore, I inform the public that the wiretapping case is fully revealed. Arthur Vanetsyan uncovered it himself while serving as the director of the NSS. I urge the government not to hide this information from the public and to speak about it in detail. Do not abuse our integrity, do not violate our silent decision to maintain ethics..."
