A Vanadzor Resident Charged with Causing Severe Bodily Harm to a Friend
The investigation into a criminal case regarding the deliberate infliction of severe harm by a 47-year-old man on his friend has been completed at the Lori Regional Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee. The Investigative Committee reports that on May 20, 2020, around 9:00 PM, during a dinner with neighbors in the garage of one of the houses on Khndzorut Street in Vanadzor, a dispute and scuffle broke out between a 47-year-old resident of Vanadzor and his 45-year-old friend over personal matters.
During the argument, due to insults directed at the 47-year-old man's mother by his friend, he struck his friend on the head with a glass bottle, breaking it. He then intentionally struck his friend's face with the sharp edge of the broken bottle, causing severe damage to the man's health, resulting in irreversible facial disfigurement.
Based on sufficient evidence gathered, the 47-year-old resident of Vanadzor has been charged under Article 112, Part 1 of the RA Criminal Code (causing serious bodily harm intentionally). A signature not to leave has been chosen as a measure of restraint against him. The investigation has been completed, and the criminal case has been sent to court with a prosecutorial conclusion.
