Ambulance Transporting COVID-19 Patient Involved in Accident in Kotayk Province

On August 20, around 18:00, a "Jim Bay" vehicle was involved in an accident under unclear circumstances on the Abovyan-Nor Hachn highway, veering off the roadway and colliding with an iron electric pole.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, preliminary reports indicate that fortunately, there were no injuries resulting from the accident. The cause appears to be flowing water and spilled sand on the road. The vehicle is registered under the emergency medical service in Yerevan, and it was transporting a patient diagnosed with COVID-19 to the hospital.

The police are currently investigating the driver's identity.
