Major Car Accident in Yerevan: 3 of the 7 Injured are Children
A major car accident took place in Yerevan. Today, on August 19, around 20:30, two vehicles collided at the intersection of Garegin Nzhdeh and Sevan streets: a BMW X5 with license plate 51 OA 100 and an Audi TB with license plate 91 CH 100.
According to SHAMSHYAN.com, there are 7 injured as a result of the accident, 3 of whom are children. Two of the injured have been transferred to the 'Saint Astvatsamayr' medical center with bodily injuries, while five others have been taken to 'Erebuni' Medical Center.
The first responders were employees of a nearby auto parts shop and residents of a high-rise building. They were later joined by firefighters from the Ministry of Emergency Situations and emergency medical teams from Yerevan's 1-03 service.
The collision caused the Audi to veer off the roadway, crashing into the stairs and wall of 'Art Motors' LLC. Traffic police have arrived at the scene, and materials are being prepared regarding the incident. The vehicles are being transferred to a special area managed by Yerevan's traffic police. Authorities are working to identify the drivers and the injured individuals.
In the mentioned area, traffic has been restricted to one-way, and traffic police are on heightened alert in the vicinity.
