Armenian Armed Forces Representatives Participate in "Echelon-2020" Exercises

On August 17, a ceremonial opening of the "Echelon-2020" exercise, focusing on logistics support for the armed forces of CSTO member states, took place at the "Kapustin Yar" training ground in the Russian Federation. Major General Mukhamedzhan Talasov, Deputy Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, delivered the opening remarks, as reported by the Armenian Ministry of Defense.

According to him, one of the primary objectives of the exercises is to enhance joint logistical operations within the framework of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces. This is crucial for responding effectively to security challenges and threats facing our nations.

During the exercises, joint operations will involve specific tasks aimed at logistical support for the units of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces. Participants will gain skills in loading and unloading military equipment, replenishing logistical supplies for units in operational areas, and organizing the evacuation, repair, and other procedures for damaged combat equipment during military operations.

The exercise will continue from August 17 to 20. To ensure the participation of Armenian armed forces personnel and to improve the tactical and professional knowledge of the staff involved, 30 servicemen have been enlisted.
