ADB Approves $750,000 Grant Program for Armenia

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has approved a $750,000 grant program aimed at enhancing Armenia's resilience to the COVID-19 pandemic and other illnesses through the development and operation of a remote education platform. This initiative will assist the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport in providing quality and continuous education during emergency situations and in normal circumstances.

As part of the support, the regulatory and institutional framework will be improved, and the capabilities of users will be developed through the training of trainers for the effective operation of the remote education platform.

The program will develop a remote education platform that will offer wider learning opportunities and provide information in a format more suitable for learners. The platform will assist educational institutions from kindergartens to 12-year educational establishments in conducting online courses and will provide teachers and learners with mechanisms for real-time feedback, assignment delivery and monitoring, and other learner-centered teaching tools.
