U.S. President Donald Trump has announced that his younger brother, Robert, passed away on Saturday. According to TASS, the president's statement was released by the White House press office.

“It is with heavy heart that I share the news that my wonderful brother Robert has peacefully passed away today. He was not just my brother, he was my best friend. I will miss him greatly, but we will meet again,” the statement from the U.S. president reads.

On Friday, it was revealed that Trump had visited his younger brother, who was then in a hospital in New York. No further details have been disclosed.
