Diaspora Teachers to Be Retrained This Year, Coronavirus Not an Obstacle

Diaspora teachers will be retrained this year, and the coronavirus will not be an obstacle. This was stated by Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport Arayik Harutyunyan on his Facebook page.

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of the Republic of Armenia announces the launch of a retraining program for educators from Armenian educational institutions operating in the diaspora (state and non-state schools, kindergartens, supplementary education institutions, one-day educational centers, cultural centers, etc.).

The retraining courses for 2020 will be conducted in a remote format from August 25 to October 23, 2020.

The retraining will take place through the following six differentiated programs developed by the Teach for Armenia foundation:

• Teaching in Kindergarten
• Teaching in One-Day Schools
• Elementary Education
• Teaching Armenian Language and Literature
• Organization of Supplementary Education and National Education
• Teaching Armenian History and Culture
