Armenian Boxing Team Holds Training Camp in Ukraine
On the initiative of Hovhannes Hovsepyan, a group of 10 representatives from the Armenian boxing team has traveled to Kharkiv, Ukraine, where they will hold a two-week training camp alongside the Ukrainian national team. This information is reported by Armsport.am.
The camp will also include sparring matches. Under the guidance of coaches Rafael Mehrabyan, Robert Petrosyan, and Sargis Nikoghosyan, the following boxers will participate in the foreign training camp: 52 kg weight category Barеgham Harutyunyan, 57 kg weight class Artur Bazeyan and Zhorzhik Marutyan, 63 kg weight class Benik Nikoghosyan and Karen Tonakanyan, 69 kg weight class Armen Mashakaryan and Gurgen Madoyan, 75 kg weight class Arman Darcheinyan, 81 kg weight class Gor Nersisyan, and 91 kg weight class Narek Manasyan.
Before departing for Ukraine, the members of the delegation underwent coronavirus testing at the initiative of the Armenian National Boxing Federation. This is the first international training camp for Armenian boxers following the hiatus caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
