Bayern Munich Crushes Barcelona 8-2
In the Champions League quarterfinals, Bayern Munich faced Barcelona in Lisbon and delivered a crushing victory with a score of 8-2 over the Catalans.
The scoring began in the 4th minute when Thomas Müller netted the ball, putting the Munich side ahead. Just three minutes later, David Alaba, attempting to clear the ball from a penalty area, accidentally sent it into his own net.
Between the 21st and 31st minutes, Bayern scored three more goals, with Ivan Perišić, Serge Gnabry, and Müller, who completed a brace, finding the net, sending the teams into halftime at 4-1.
In the second half, Barcelona started more actively and managed to pull one goal back, thanks to Luis Suárez. However, after that, it was Bayern weaved again. Joshua Kimmich, Robert Lewandowski, and Philippe Coutinho, who also scored twice, all added to the scoreline.
Thus, Bayern Munich will continue its campaign in the Champions League semifinals.
