Active Road Construction Works Being Carried Out in Artsakh, Says Artsakh President

As part of the program for the balanced development of rural communities, the asphalt paving of a road section connecting the community of Herher in the Martuni region to the Stepanakert-Karmir Shuka-Martuni highway is nearing completion, noted Artsakh President Araik Harutyunyan on his Facebook page.

“Herher is one of the many communities in our Republic where asphalt paving of roads will be carried out this year. My working visit yesterday aimed to get acquainted with the progress of the work personally. I instructed that as soon as this is completed, the paving of the road connecting Herher to Tsovataeg should also commence. In the Martuni region, this year the paving works are also planned for the Taghavard-Karmir Shuka, the Qert community connecting to the Stepanakert-Martuni highway, and strategic roads linking Jartar to the former Zoravan,” he wrote.

“Moreover, the Berdashen road, which I had the opportunity to present, will be put into operation in the coming weeks. Meanwhile, the paving works of intra-community roads have also gained new momentum. Having well-maintained communities is a prerequisite for building the prosperous future of the country,” he concluded.
