Video Emerges of Moment Protester Was Killed During Minsk Demonstrations
A video purportedly showing the moment of death of Alexander Taraikovsky, who was killed during protests in Minsk, has surfaced online. This was reported by korrespondent.net.
The footage shows a man approaching security personnel with his hands raised and not throwing anything at them. At one point, he lowers his hands and then collapses.
At the same time, the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs had previously stated that Taraikovsky died from an explosive device that detonated in his hands. "During clashes with special forces who had arrived to disperse the crowd, one of the protesters attempted to throw an explosive device at law enforcement. The explosive detonated in the protester's hands, resulting in fatal injuries," the statement from the Belarusian Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.
