Forest Fire Area Triples in California National Park in Two Days
The forest fire that ignited on Wednesday in the California National Park has tripled in size over the course of two days, reaching 11,600 hectares. This was reported by NBC NEWS.
In the effort to combat the fire, 500 firefighters, 6 aircraft, 9 helicopters, and 50 fire engines are deployed.
Located near Los Angeles, the fire on the slopes of the San Gabriel Mountains has destroyed at least 3 buildings, putting over 5,000 homes at risk. Hundreds of residents have been evacuated. There are currently no reports of casualties or injuries.
