VIDEO: Vardan Miranyan, Killed on August 8 in Akhalkalak, Laid to Rest

Today, Vardan Miranyan, a 24-year-old who was shot dead during a mass brawl in Akhalkalak on August 8, was buried in the village of Kulikam. The entire village participated in the funeral.

The fatal injury was inflicted by 37-year-old Arthur Gabrielyan, a resident of Akhalkalak.

"A great tragedy has occurred. The deceased young man's wife is pregnant. The whole village is mourning. The police must investigate this case. It is terrible," said local resident Anahit Dolukhanyan.

The police have arrested Arthur Gabrielyan on charges of premeditated murder and illegal possession and use of a weapon. Investigators have determined that the murder was the result of a long-standing feud between two families.
