VIDEO: Homeless and Vagrant Minors Discovered

On August 12, a working meeting was held at the Central Police Department, led by Colonel Nelly Duryan, head of the department for minors and prevention of family violence under the Police's Public Security Division. Officers from the city’s territorial departments dealing with minors and family violence prevention participated in the meeting.

Nelly Duryan welcomed the attendees, noting that homeless and vagrant minors are constantly on the radar of the police. In cooperation with the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and local self-government bodies, the police regularly conduct various initiatives.

The police colonel announced that starting from August 12, operations would be conducted over three days in the capital to identify homeless and vagrant minors. The discussions also addressed issues related to the police's role in preventing family violence.

Immediately following the meeting, police officers were deployed for service. Through the initiated measures, homeless and vagrant minors were identified, along with some adults. All were brought to the police’s territorial divisions.

The leadership of the department for minors and prevention of family violence within the Police's Public Security Division monitored the service carried out in the capital. The police, adhering to their adopted policies, continue to implement initiatives addressing the issues of homeless and vagrant minors.
