Major Car Accident in Aragatsotn Province: 34-Year-Old Driver Crashes BMW into Mounds and Rocks, Injured

Today, on August 13, a severe car accident occurred in Aragatsotn Province. Around 19:00, 34-year-old Gevorg O., a resident of the town of Ashtarak, lost control of his BMW vehicle while driving on the Yerevan-Gyumri highway at the 26th kilometer mark, heading towards Ashtarak. Under unclear circumstances, he veered off the roadway, collided with rocks and a mound, and after rolling several times, crashed into a metal sign.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, as a result of the accident, the driver was assisted by bystanders and was extricated from the vehicle. He was then transported by a civilian vehicle to the Ashtarak Medical Center.
