Stabbing in Yerevan: 18-Year-Old Basketball Player in Critical Condition

On August 11, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. At around 23:20, the police received a call from the Astghik Medical Center reporting that a citizen had been admitted with a "stab wound to the front surface of the chest."

According to Shamshyan.com, law enforcement officers have identified the victim as 18-year-old Vardan M., a resident of Kotayk Province, who is in extremely critical condition. He is a basketball player.

It has been determined that earlier that same day, around 22:00, near 255 Aygestan Street, Vardan M., along with his brother, 20-year-old Antoine M. from Kotayk Province, and two residents of Yerevan, 19-year-olds Andranik H. and Rudik A., had an argument over personal issues with three other Yerevan residents, 23-year-olds Edward M., Stepan S., and Armin Adam-Megerditchyan, during which one of them stabbed Vardan M. in the chest.
