‘If my child's murder is not solved, I will take my revenge’: Father of murdered boy from Vardenis threatens

The mystery surrounding the murder of 25-year-old Torgom Harutyunyan in Vardenis continues to choke law enforcement. A month has passed, and so far, authorities have been unable to solve the brutal killing of the young man. It has been noted that in many cases, the actions taken by law enforcement towards solving the case have been significantly delayed.

Specifically, according to reports received by ArmLur.am, law enforcement seized security cameras that could have helped solve the murder rather late after the incident. It seems that they did not pursue hot leads.

In a conversation with us, the father of the murdered Torgom Harutyunyan, Mkhayil Harutyunyan, stated that nothing is being done regarding his son's murder case. “My child has been killed; they claim an investigation is ongoing, but they are doing nothing, and the murder remains unsolved. I have provided law enforcement with specific names of individuals, clearly mentioned who I suspect, yet nothing is being done. I appeal to Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and all law enforcement agencies; if my child's case is not solved, I will seek my revenge. They should know that concrete actions must be taken to solve my child’s murder, or I publicly declare that I will take my revenge on those I suspect in my son’s killing,” he said.

It should be noted that on the night of June 28, gunshots were heard in the city of Vardenis, with 18 shots fired, of which 9 hit 25-year-old Torgom Harutyunyan. Out of the 18 shots, two were fatal for the young man, who fought for his life for an extended period at a hospital in Vardenis but could not be saved by doctors. Additionally, Torgom Harutyunyan, a sportsman, had been released from prison 3 years ago and, according to all indications, had been in discussions with certain individuals. However, it has been a month, and law enforcement is still trying to ascertain with whom he had issues and who could have committed the murder.
