Attack on Yerevan City Hall Results in Broken Windows
Yesterday, on August 7, an extraordinary incident occurred in Yerevan. Around 3:55 AM, the operational management center of the Yerevan police received a report of an attack on the Yerevan City Hall located at 1 Argishti Street, resulting in broken windows.
According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, while the first battalion of the first company of the police special forces was en route to the scene, another call was received from a police officer on duty at the city hall, reporting that an individual in an inadequate state was breaking the windows of the city hall.
Police special forces detained 42-year-old Sargis K. on suspicion of intentionally damaging property near the Yerevan City Hall. An investigation is underway in the central division of the police, with materials being prepared regarding the incident, and an expert examination has been initiated to determine the extent of the damage.
