An Alternative Market Space Offered Free of Charge to Kasyan’s Former Market Organizational Group

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Armenia has offered farmers of Kasyan's former market an alternative market space free of charge. This was reported by Anna Ohanyan, the press secretary of the Minister of Economy, on her Facebook page.

“We inform you that in recent days, the Ministry of Economy, represented by Deputy Minister Arman Khojoyan, has been actively cooperating with the organizational group of Kasyan's former market. As a result of several discussions with the ministry, the Yerevan Municipality, and the head of Arabkir community, Aram Danilyan, an alternative space has been offered free of charge in the area adjacent to 'Dalma' shopping center. A visit to the mentioned area was organized with the group, attended by the head of the Kentron administrative district, Aved Poghosyan. The proposed area has been approved by the organizational group of the market.

The Deputy Minister of Economy has sent appropriate letters to the Yerevan Municipality and the Chief of Police of the Republic of Armenia, Vahe Ghazaryan, to ensure the provision of necessary infrastructure and security during market operations.

Initiated by the Ministry of Economy in cooperation with international partners, the market will be provided with tables, tents, scales, and hauling equipment valued at around 10 million AMD free of charge, which, along with other free supplies provided by the ministry in previous years, will further boost farmers and promote marketing,” Ohanyan wrote.
