Mikhail Khachatryan's Family Lawyers in Moscow Express Fears of Revenge from Sisters

The lawyers representing the family of Mikhail Khachatryan, who was killed years ago by his daughters in Moscow, will request state protection due to fears of retaliation from the sisters. One of the lawyers for the victim’s side, Yulia Nitchenko, stated this in a conversation with reporters, as reported by the RIA Novosti agency.

“According to the expert evaluations, they have been recognized as dangerous to society. I am afraid to be in the same place as them; we will request that protective measures be provided for us as well. They face 8 to 20 years of imprisonment,” the lawyer said.

It is noted that prosecutor Maria Semenenko is under state protection in this case, but she received this protection earlier, during another process, and since then she has been accompanied by armed officers.

Recall that Angelina, Kristina, and Maria Khachatryan were arrested in July 2018 on charges of murdering their father, Mikhail Khachatryan. The investigation into this case was completed last December. It was revealed during the investigation that the father had subjected his daughters to years of physical, sexual, and psychological abuse.
