35 Residents of Shirak Province Being Treated for Coronavirus at Gyumri Infectious Disease Hospital
As of 11:30 AM on August 3, the Shirak Provincial Administration reports that 35 residents of Shirak Province are being treated for coronavirus at the Gyumri Infectious Disease Hospital.
Since March 1, a total of 7,765 samples have been taken in healthcare institutions in Shirak Province and at the regional center of the National Center for Disease Control and Prevention. From May 12 to July 31, 6,411 tests were conducted in Gyumri alone.
Currently, 625 citizens are under home self-isolation in the province, with 174 of them having tested positive, presenting asymptomatic cases. Monitoring is carried out by primary healthcare services.
To date, 468 residents of Shirak have recovered from the virus and have been discharged from the Gyumri Infectious Disease Hospital. Fifty patients have been transferred to the capital, and 35 deaths have been recorded.
