Roof of Building in Hrazdan Damaged by Wind Falls onto Roadway

On August 1, at 19:29, the National Crisis Management Center received a call reporting that the roof of a building located at 15 Hay Fidainers Street in Hrazdan had been damaged by strong winds, requiring the assistance of rescue teams.

A fire and rescue crew from the Kotayk Regional Rescue Department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations was dispatched to the scene.

It was determined that due to the severe winds, the roof of the 'Master' building materials store, approximately 300 square meters in size, was completely torn off and had fallen onto the roadway, rendering the road to Tsaghkadzor one-way.

The rescuers dismantled the damaged components of the roof and cleared the roadway.

At the scene were the deputy commander of fire and rescue squad No. 44 of the Kotayk Rescue Department, Captain Melkonyan, Hrazdan Mayor S. Mikaelyan, and the commander of the Hrazdan Traffic Police squad, Major Bagratyan.
