Contract Soldier Wounded by Enemy Gunfire

A 39-year-old contract soldier has been wounded by enemy gunfire in the Tavush region. This information was reported by NEWS.am, citing the mayor of the village of Nerk'in Karmraghbyur, Levon Arakelyan.

According to him, the injured individual is a fellow villager. “Around 2 a.m., he was at the outpost, and the incident occurred approximately between 2-3 a.m. He sustained a minor injury to his leg. He has four children and is 39 years old,” the mayor stated, adding that the wounded soldier is currently in the Berd hospital.

In a conversation with Auroranews, the spokesperson for the Ministry of Defense, Shushan Stepanyan, refrained from commenting on the news.
