The criminal case initiated by the Special Investigative Service of Armenia based on a video published by former Armenian ambassador to the Vatican, Mikael Minasian, has been terminated. This was stated by Lusine Sahakyan, the lawyer of former NSS Director and leader of the 'Homeland' party, Artur Vanetsyan, during a conversation with reporters.

“We have applied to the SIS to obtain the materials of the case, and we received a response that since Mr. Vanetsyan was summoned as a witness, the materials will not be provided; however, the criminal case has been terminated due to the absence of a criminal act. If we consider the list of participants, it is quite interesting to see who the person would be that could potentially be charged. Since Mr. Vanetsyan has had the status of a witness. This means that, by the principle of exclusion, there remains one official in this country who could have possibly been charged. Mr. Pashinyan should answer whether he has been summoned by the SIS or not. That official is Mr. Pashinyan,” she stated.
