VIDEO: Azerbaijani Television Channels Begin Spreading 'Sensational News' - Karen Hovhannisyan

Turkologist Karen Hovhannisyan has published a video on his Facebook page, noting, "These days, I am closely monitoring the large-scale Turkish-Azerbaijani military exercises named 'TurAz Eagle-2020' taking place in Azerbaijan. I have spoken about this exercise and will continue to discuss it, as provocative information is already noticeable in the Azerbaijani propaganda landscape.

In one of my recent interviews with a media outlet, I mentioned that during this exercise, the provocation might not necessarily be a shot fired or similar actions at the border, but rather an attempt by the participating air forces to cross the Artsakh-Azerbaijani air boundary, which would already constitute a provocation and signal green light for a new confrontation.

Today, Azerbaijani television channels have started disseminating 'sensational news'. The propaganda machine of the Baku dictator claims that Azerbaijani and Turkish military aircraft have 'maneuvered in the skies of Nagorno-Karabakh'. It is evident that this is a falsehood, yet the Azerbaijani authorities present this lie to their own public as a result of the exercises, suggesting that military aircraft from the two countries can maneuver in the skies of Artsakh.

This is truly a provocation, an informational provocation, as the spread of false news even endangers the possibility of conducting the exercises further since it clearly exacerbates an already explosive situation.
