No Grounds to See Bias in the Examination of Robert Kocharian's Case in the Constitutional Court, Says Candidate for CC Justice

In the Constitutional Court, there are no grounds to see bias in the examination of Robert Kocharian's case, said Vahram Avetisyan, a candidate for the position of CC justice, to reporters.

"I have no personal interest that could lead to a conflict of interest," he stated.

Vahram Avetisyan noted that if there is a specific case where the Court of Cassation has expressed a legal position, made a decision, and his father was involved in that decision-making process, it could be seen as a conflict of interest, and he will, of course, refrain from participating in the examination of that case.

It is worth mentioning that Vahram Avetisyan’s father, Davit Avetisyan, served as the head of the Criminal Chamber of the Court of Cassation from 2008 to 2016 and has dealt with cases related to March 1.
