Car Crashes into Electric Pole; Driver Dies in Hospital
On July 29, at 15:06, the National Crisis Management Center received a report regarding a traffic accident on the Ashtarak Highway, where a car collided with an electric pole and a citizen was trapped inside.
A team from the Fire and Rescue Department of the Emergency Situations Ministry dispatched one fire truck and a rescue group from the Special Rescue Operations Center to the scene.
It was determined that at the intersection of Ashtarak Highway and Gevorg Chaush Street, an "Opel Zafira" (driver: Artashes Kh.) collided with a "VAZ-2106" (driver: Stepan H., born in 1953), which subsequently crashed into an electric pole.
Rescuers, working alongside civilians, managed to extricate the driver of the "VAZ-2106" from the vehicle and brought him to an ambulance. The injured individual was hospitalized at Armenia Medical Center, where he died without regaining consciousness.
