University Applicants Who Were Not Admitted Gift Bible and Cross to Minister
University applicants who were not accepted and are dissatisfied with the new admission rules continue their protest. Today, they gathered again in front of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of the Republic of Armenia.
Participants wanted to gift a Bible and a cross to Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Arayik Harutyunyan. The delivery was made by the minister's advisor, Gohar Mamikyants, who noted that the minister accepts the gift and, as a believer, is very grateful.
She did not provide additional clarifications on whether Harutyunyan is currently following the protest, or if there would be any compromises, only mentioning that the minister had spoken about this during an interview broadcast on Public Television yesterday.
One of the participants in the protest requested that his words also be conveyed, expressing hope that after receiving the gift, the minister would carry out more noble deeds and come closer to the church, and that the ministry would not place the blame for the applicants' situation on them.
It should be noted that today there were fewer protesters; they came only to deliver the gift, and no other actions were planned for today.
