Tragic Incident in Ararat Region: 66-Year-Old Man Dies While Attempting to Burn Dry Grass in His Yard

Today, on July 27, a tragic incident occurred in the Ararat region. Around 15:35, the Ministry of Emergency Situations received a call reporting a fire in the yard of one of the houses on Yerevanyan Street in the village of Vostan.

The rescuers extinguished the fire that had spread from house number 47, where the body of a man was discovered.

Police have identified the deceased as 66-year-old M. P., a resident of the mentioned house. According to G. Shamsyan, M. P. had been trying to burn dry grass in his yard, which spread to the neighboring area. He attempted to extinguish the fire but was overcome by smoke, and some parts of his body were burned.

Following the incident, G. Manaseryan has ordered several examinations, including a forensic examination of the body.
