Major Car Accident in Lori Province: UAZ Collides with Two Opel Astras, Injuries Reported
Today, July 26, a major car accident occurred in Lori Province. At approximately 10:30 AM, on the 2nd km stretch of the Vanadzor-Stepanavan highway, a collision took place between a UAZ vehicle driven by 51-year-old Robert Movsesyan, a resident of Vanadzor, and two Opel Astras; one driven by 20-year-old Aram Sukiasyan from Tashir, with license plate 47 TD 477, and the other by 23-year-old David Galoyan, with license plate 11 GG 700.
According to reports from SHAMSHYAN.com, as a result of the accident, one of Galoyan's passengers, 21-year-old Sayat Sukiasyan, and UAZ driver Robert Movsesyan sustained bodily injuries and were transported to the Stepanavan Medical Center.
The second squad of the 2nd division of the traffic police, under the command of Lieutenant Ludvig Ghandilyan and the commander of the squad, Khostan Budaghyan, swiftly arrived at the scene. The emergency medical team from the Stepanavan hospital also acted promptly, providing initial medical assistance on-site before transporting the injured to the Stepanavan Medical Center.
Due to the collision, the UAZ ended up partially in the middle of the road, resulting in one-way traffic, while one of the Opels was thrown off the navigable lane of the road.
