Car Stolen from Ararat Customs Area
An extraordinary incident has occurred at the Ararat Customs in Yerevan: a car that had been parked there for over a year has been stolen. The owner of the vehicle, Armen Grigoryan, told NEWS.am that he was informed by the police several days ago that his car had been robbed.
"The car had Georgian license plates and my wife drove it last year. The police fined her because I wasn’t in the car, and they moved it to a specially secured area. A few days ago, a police officer informed me that the car had been stolen. Parts were taken from both outside and inside the vehicle. The preliminary estimate of the damage is around 900,000 drams," he told the news outlet.
He firmly believes that only the customs are to blame for such an incident occurring in a closed and supervised area. He added that the car was valued at 1.5 million drams.
