A Section of the Interstate Road Will Be Temporarily Closed for Traffic

The M-2 interstate road section between Yerevan-Yeraskh-Goris-Meghri-Iranian border, specifically from km 82+000 to km 91+600 (a total length of 9.6 km), will be temporarily closed due to major reconstruction work at km 84+600 to km 87+200. To bypass the closed section, a traffic safety scheme with a detour is proposed.

It is noted that the contractor responsible for the construction works, "Karavan" LLC, will carry out earthworks, leveling and filling of shoulders, installation of drainage systems and safety features, as well as placing signs and laying two layers of asphalt concrete covering along with road marking as part of the reconstruction efforts.

The contractual value of the reconstruction work is 1 billion AMD.
