Urgent: Changes Made to Coronavirus Testing Order

In light of the situation regarding the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in our country, changes have been made to the order concerning the epidemiological monitoring of cases related to the new coronavirus infection (2019-NCOV), epidemiological definition of cases, laboratory research, sampling, home care for patients with 'mild' symptoms, medical supervision of contacts, clinical management of patients, and prevention of hospital-acquired infections. This order also includes a set of temporary measures for the containment/management of the new coronavirus infection (2019-ncov).

In primary healthcare settings and medical institutions, coronavirus testing can now be conducted for patients with a body temperature of 37.50 °C or higher, along with respiratory illness or other suspected symptoms, replacing the previous threshold of 38.50 °C.
