The Most Anti-Armenian Resolution in History Included in the U.S. Congress: Suren Sargsyan
The most anti-Armenian resolution in history has been included in the U.S. Congress. Political scientist Suren Sargsyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.
“The House of Representatives' legal committee has included a resolution concerning the National Defense Authorization Act for 2021, with such disgraceful wording: ‘...the Secretary of State, in conjunction with the Secretary of Defense, shall present a report to the relevant congressional committees regarding the status of internally displaced persons in Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan. The report shall contain an assessment of the following: (1) the number of citizens of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan who have been forcibly displaced from the illegally occupied territories of these countries by foreign forces since 1991; (2) the number of citizens of Ukraine, Georgia, Moldova, and Azerbaijan who have been killed in areas illegally occupied by foreign forces since 1991.’
This kind of anti-Armenian resolution has never existed before. If this is also approved in the Senate, it will set a serious precedent and become a headache, significantly impacting the prospects for inclusion in other contexts, including international documents. The Azerbaijani lobby has spent a lot of money on this,” wrote the political scientist.
